Investment / ROI Calculator
Compare invested capital, gain or loss, total return, and annualized growth.
About This Calculator
Measure an investment's gain, total return, and annualized growth. The results distinguish contributed money from investment profit or loss.
How It Works
Invested amount equals initial investment plus contributions. Gain equals ending value minus invested amount, and ROI equals gain ÷ invested amount × 100.
CAGR = ((ending ÷ initial)^(1 ÷ years) − 1) × 100
Example
An investment growing from $10,000 to $13,310 in three years has a $3,310 gain, a 33.1% total ROI, and a 10% CAGR.
Important Notes
CAGR is shown only when there are no added contributions because contribution timing matters. Results exclude taxes, fees, inflation, and risk and are not individualized financial advice.
